Centara Hotels & Resorts has signed management agreements with Asia Investment, Development & Construction Sole Co., Ltd (AIDC) to open three new properties with a combined total of 216 keys, including an upper upscale Centara Grand Luang Prabang, a midscale Centra by Centara property in Luang Prabang and the third property under Centara’s new lifestyle brand, COSI in Vientiane, the Laotian capital.

The management agreement comes as Laos launches new plans to promote tourism. In recent years, the government has come to regard tourism as a priority sector for driving socio-economic development. This Kingdom hopes to attract 5 million international visitors in 2018 and increasing the numbers in the years ahead.
With the Centara’s expansion strategy to double the number of properties under its management during the next five years, the fourth property of Centara Hotels & Resorts in Laos, Centara Plumeria Resort Pakse is under development and scheduled to open in 2020.
