In Manila, the state-run Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp is auctioning two parcels where Solaire Resort and Casino is being located, with the combined area of 16 hectares at a starting price of US $726.6 million. This integrated resort is part of Entertainment City, a US $15 billion gaming and entertainment complex along Manila Bay.

Solaire Resort and Casino

Entertainment City currently includes three integrated resorts in operation of Solaire Resort and Casino, City of Dreams Manila, and Okada Manila, together with other resorts under development. In Cebu Province, the local government endorsed the development plan of an integrated casino resort on a 300-hectare artificial island in the Southern part of Cebu City, after approving the construction of the 12.5-hectare Emerald Resort and Casino with the estimated investment capital of US $341 million in Lapu-Lapu City.
