  • BCI Asia Awards 2022: Flamingo Holding Group was recognised in the Top 10 Developers. Flamingo Cat Ba won the Interior Design Award.
  • International Property Awards 2022: Flamingo Hai Tien won the Mixed-use Architecture Vietnam Award.

Flamingo Holding Group has been continuously recognised as the winner of prestigious international property awards, including the recent International Property Awards 2022 and BCI Asia Awards 2022, growing their previous portfolio of over 300 awards and titles.

The acknowledged awards and titles affirm Flamingo Holding Group’s consistent principles in developing green properties and sustainable tourism, establishing the group’s position in the future picture of the international hospitality industry.

UNWTO believes that the hotel sector is one of the hospitality industry’s biggest drivers of job creation and revenue contribution whilst being one amongst the most energy-intensive businesses. In fact, hotels and other types of accommodation account for 2% of the 5% global carbon dioxide emitted by the tourism sector.

According to ABTA that was founded in 1950 in the UK and represents travel agents and tour operators generating a combined annual revenue of approximately US $47 billion, the percentage of travellers seeking holiday providers having green and environmental sustainability credentials increased from 20% in 2011 to 54% in 2021. The ABTA’s research also revealed that in 2021, 30% of travellers prepared to pay more for a holiday with companies having better environmental and social records, whilst only 19% of travellers were willing to do so in 2011.

As a result of an annual Sustainable Travel Report conducted in early 2022 gathering insights from travellers across 32 countries and territories, Booking.com identifies tourists becoming more and more aware of the climate crisis, seeking authentic cultural experiences, and giving priority to brands offering sustainable choices towards environment and communities.

Amongst the global travellers responding to Booking.com, 78% intended to stay at a sustainable property at least once in the coming year, 48% stayed at a sustainable property at least once over the past year. Amongst those who stayed at sustainable properties, 41% wanted to help reduce their impact on the environment, 33% sought for a more locally culture-relevant experience, 31% believed sustainable properties treat the community better, 19% perceived sustainable properties as stylish and trendy, and 16% considered sustainable properties perfect for posting on social media. Indeed, making tourism more sustainable needs the collaboration of all stakeholders. In which, business strategies and social commitments of tourism property developers play a vital role.

Enjoying a 500-hectare immense lake and poetic pine forests, Flamingo Dai Lai Resort is not only ideal for hideaway vacations amidst natural settings but also an inspiring home for local and international artists to create and present their unique masterpieces, well reflecting on Flamingo Holding Group’s distinct approach in creating long-term values for and broader impacts on communities.

Located by the most beautiful beach of Cat Ba Archipelago that is recognised as UNESCO’s World Biosphere Reserve, Flamingo Cat Ba offers unforgettable experience for tourists welcoming the pink sunrise gradually spreading over Lan Ha Bay, being awakened by the sea breeze bringing mild scent from flowers blooming in sky forests, and being tranquilized by singing waves harmonizing with the sound of life from a nearby fishing village.

A perspective of Flamingo Hai Tien

Since the inauguration, Flamingo Dai Lai Resort and Flamingo Cat Ba have established leading positions in the tourism and holiday property markets in North Vietnam. Meanwhile, Flamingo Hai Tien that is located by a 1-km beach of a tourist hub in Central North Vietnam has been developed to become an integrated resort destination, offering a hectic nightlife with various entertainments and glamour music festivals.

Cutting carbon and greenhouse gas emissions, taking action to respond to climate change, and developing sustainable tourism are not new slogans in the world but rather less awareness in Vietnam. However, decades ago, Flamingo Holding Group already paid attention to the sustainability philosophy and has always been consistent in their strategy throughout the development of their integrated property portfolio.

Flamingo Holding Group integrating modern amenities with green living lifestyle

Initiating “forest in the sky” architecture in Vietnam’s real estate industry, Flamingo Holding Group develops holiday villas and hotel apartments with a unique trademark of vertical gardens. The skillful integration between discerning solutions from structure, architecture, landscape, MEP, and interior principles in line with the sustainability philosophy helps each villa and apartment, as well as projects to save energy while operating, reducing operational costs. Indulging in resort homes constructed from eco-friendly materials and integrated with advanced air control systems, residents and tourists staying at green developments of Flamingo Holding Group can fully experience an eco-friendly lifestyle that is close to nature and good for health.

Flamingo Holding Group creating resort ambiance in harmony with nature

In accordance with the strong internationalisation of Vietnam’s hotel market in recent years, marked by more and more presence of international hotel brands, norms and expectations of environmental and social sustainability in Vietnam’s hospitality industry gradually come closer to those of the world. In this context, Flamingo Holding Group has already led the growing trend of green properties in Vietnam and is awaiting the revolution of the global hospitality industry driven by the Covid-19 pandemic’s impacts. Subsequently, the change in the outlook on life of the majority of the population, especially global citizens whose living - working - travel standards are super mobile and flexible, will create a great migration phenomenon at the global level, driving forces to form many sustainable resort destinations that meet the needs of modern amenities, the desire to be in harmony with nature, and the hope for connecting with the local communities.
