AccorHotels will buy 50% of the upmarket SBE Entertainment Group’s common equity held by Cain International for US $125 million and also invest US $194 million in a new debt instrument, making a total investment of US $319 million in SBE. This hotelier has also completed its acquisition of Mantra Group for US $1.2 billion, adding 138 hotels in Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and Bali to its portfolio. Meanwhile, Thailand’s Minor International Pcl aims to acquire from 51% to 55% stake of NH Hotel Group SA, creating a network of 540 hotels in Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. In another context, Thailand’s Singha Estate Pcl has announced the successful acquisition of six properties with the total of 859 keys from Outrigger Hotels Hawaii for US $310 million.
