  • With a target opening in 2022, the 244-room Hilton Garden Inn Bangkok will sit within new lifestyle mixed use development ICONSIAM.

Hilton, one of the world’s fastest-growing hospitality companies, has announced the upcoming launch of its Hilton Garden Inn brand in Bangkok through a management agreement with Bangkok-based Koncise One Co., Ltd. (SPV). With a target opening in 2022, the 244-room Hilton Garden Inn Bangkok will sit within new lifestyle mixed use development ICONSIAM.
Hilton Garden Inn is the second Hilton brand to announce entry into Bangkok in the same week, following shortly after lifestyle brand Canopy by Hilton announced plans to open in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit district in 2022.

“As the capital of Thailand, Bangkok serves as a gateway to other travel destinations in the region. With the city’s rapid growth and position as a key megacity in South East Asia, the addition of the Hilton Garden Inn brand to the market reinforces our commitment to meet the evolving travel demands of the country,” said John Greenleaf, global head, Hilton Garden Inn. “We look forward to welcoming guests with our signature hospitality as they visit the city in the coming years.”
Upon completion, the hotel will be housed within ICONSIAM, Bangkok’s newest mega-lifestyle mall which opened at the end of 2018. Ideally located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, guests can access this dynamic part of the city through boats and water-taxis ferrying commuters against a backdrop of stunning temples and palaces and historic landmarks. The hotel is within walking distance to several piers along the Chao Phraya River Express Boat route, providing ease of access to a plethora of leisure attractions, retail malls, and trendy food and beverage options.
“As a travel market Thailand holds great potential as we see a steady influx of business and leisure travellers to both city and resort locations within the country. Demand is also changing with evolving travel patterns and there are huge opportunities for us to cater to the middle class traveler with our Hilton Garden Inn brand. With its strategic location and a wide range of lifestyle offerings within close proximity, I am confident Hilton Garden Inn Bangkok will be a draw for leisure guests looking to explore a different part of Bangkok when it opens in 2022,” said Guy Philips, senior vice president development, Asia & Australasia, Hilton.
When it opens, Hilton Garden Inn Bangkok will offer guests 244 well-appointed rooms, an all-day restaurant, a rooftop bar, and a meeting room of 192 square meters. During their downtime, guests can relax by the pool or get a workout in at the fitness centre.
“As a business owner in Thailand, relationships and results are of equal importance to us when we look for a partner to work with. Given the nature of our business, we’ve had the chance to work with many hospitality companies and were particularly pleased with the level of commitment Hilton has shown to the quality of its service and its relationships with partners. We are delighted to be working with them to bring the Hilton Garden Inn brand into Bangkok and look forward to a successful partnership in delivering great guest experiences when Hilton Garden Inn Bangkok opens in 2022,” said Mr. Sirapat Lertkangwarnklai, managing director of Kanok Furniture and Decoration Co.,Ltd. and chairman of Koncise One Co.,Ltd.
In Thailand, Hilton currently operates nine properties across four key brands – Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton. Over the next three to five years, the company is targeting to open five hotels in its pipeline, including its second and third hotels under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand: DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit, and DoubleTree by Hilton Phuket Banthai Resort which will both open later this year.
