Mongolia’s national airline will resume services to Bangkok during its winter timetable from this October through to March 2019.
MIAT Mongolian Airlines confirmed, earlier this week, a new series of scheduled flights for the second consecutive winter timetable.
The airline will fly a 737-800 on the route from Ulan Baatar to Bangkok twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturday.
It’s the only direct service linking Chinggis Khan International Airport, the airline’s home base, with Suvarnabumi Airport in Bangkok.
According to Airlineroute timetable information the service will operate from 28 October to 30 March 2019.
However during the Christmas, New Year and the Chinese New Year holiday flights will switch to the larger Boeing 767.
OM701 departs Ulan Baatar at 1635 and arrives in Bangkok at 2155. The return flight, OM702, departs Bangkok at 2255 and arrives in Ulan Baatar at 0605 on the following morning.

Earlier this year, the airline signed a codeshare agreement with Cathay Pacific to pick up passengers heading for Hong Kong and points in east Asia, while last month it inked a commercial sales agreement with the Jetstar Group.
Its current network consists of seven international routes from Ulan Baatar to Moscow, Berlin, Frankfurt, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
In related news on Mongolia, earlier this week, Sabre confirmed it has signed a content distribution agreement with Hunnu Air, the country’s second carrier.
The agreement will distribute the airline’s timetable and fares to Sabre’s 425,000 travel agency locations that use the global GDS to book flights.
